All pages within the Marmax website share a common theme with elements of the site repeatedly appearing in the same place. We find this layout promotes familiarity and increases ease of use. Common page elements are explained below.
Company Logo: top left - all pages
The company logo appears in the top left corner of all pages and can be clicked on at any time to return to the home page of the Marmax products website.
Customer Information: top right - all pages
This section of the site appears opposite the company logo on all pages of the site and offers: an "at a glance" summary of your shopping cart contents, the option to view your shopping cart contents in full and a link to the "My Account" section.
Header Navigation below company logo - all pages
The header navigation is featured throughout the site and offers users the chance to search our website for specific keywords or to follow a number of links to our corporate information sections (bespoke services, about us, contact information), our enquiry form, an online caption competition or details of our latest news and special offers.
Main Navigation left hand side - all pages
Like the header navigation this section of each page provides links to the various categories of our product catalogue (listed under the "recycled plastic products" header) and further information about our products and services (listed under the "about our products" header)
Page Content center of page - all pages
This section is the reason the page exists at all. This is where you will find the information you were looking for when you clicked on the descriptive link leading to it. This section will generally include further links (in relation to it's content) to other sections of the site.
Marginalia right hand side - most pages
Depending on the content and layout of the page you are viewing, there may be some marginalia on the right of the page. This section generally contains information that is relative to the main page content and may offer links to further sections of the site. Common elements found in this section are: links / answers to frequently asked questions a.k.a. 'Rubbish Facts', news and offers, customer service information and quotes from satisfied customers who have used Marmax Products in the past.
Footer Section bottom of page - all pages
This section offers customer service information and links such as contact details, our privacy policy and terms and conditions of using the site. There is also a handy link to "bookmark" the site for ease of return in the future.
