Why being outdoors is beneficial within the Care Industry

1024 576 Marmax Recycled Plastic Products

Being outdoors is beneficial to everyone; it keeps us fit and healthy, it gets us exploring and gets us socialising and relaxing. It is especially beneficial within the care industry; not just for patients, but for staff as well. Bringing patients outdoors can help their quality of life, it can help them socialise with other residents and enjoy the environment around them. It can also be a place where families come together to enjoy the great outdoors and take time out to share memories. Staff can also benefit from being outdoors by getting fresh air, taking a break or just to watch the patients have fun.

Not only can being outdoors be beneficial to adults, it is also beneficial to children, especially children who have to stay in hospital. Play is a way that children make sense of the world around them; by making up stories, games and even making new friends. It also helps them to express their feelings and worries, to help them understand what is happening to them, to cope with any treatment they may be receiving and being able to continue to have the aspect of a normal life.

Here at Marmax Products, we have the perfect outdoor products to make this a reality. So if you have an outdoor area in your care home, hospice or hospital, or a breakout area for staff, our maintenance free, 100% recycled plastic outdoor products are ideal for all. The products do not rot, corrode or splinter, are durable and hard wearing and are guaranteed for a minimum of 25 years, so you have piece of mind that they are going to be around for generations to come.
