Congratulations to our recently promoted team members, Darren Laidler and Chris Lamb!

We are delighted to announce the promotions of Darren Laidler and Chris Lamb, Darren to Senior Sales and Technical Coordinator and Chris to Production Manager.  

We love to reward commitment and teamwork, promoting from within the Marmax family when opportunities arise. Both Chris and Darren have worked for the business for several years and we appreciate their diligence and loyalty. 

We asked Darren and Chris about their respective roles at Marmax, their career progression and what the future may hold. 

When did you start at Marmax Darren? 

I joined Marmax on 31 January 2017. 

What was your first role within the company and how have you progressed?

 I was employed as Sales Coordinator and this is my first promotion. 

What kind of training has the company put you through so far? 

I have been through first aid and health and safety training. 

Do you have a favourite part of your job? 

I enjoy the variety of enquiries and the ability to assist the customers and also helping my colleagues throughout the day. 

How’s the team spirit at Marmax? 

It’s all smiles and the general banter gets you through the day. 

Where would you like to see yourself in five years’ time? 

Progressing further within Marmax into a managerial position. 

When did you start at Marmax Chris? 

7 February 2008. 

What was your first role within the company and how have you progressed? 

I started as a production operator, working my way into quality control in 2015 before being promoted to production supervisor in 2016 and then into my current role. 

What kind of training has the company put you through so far? 

Various training has been provided including health and safety and first aid, along with leadership courses covering all aspects of my current role. 

Do you have a favourite part of your job? 

Helping get the best performance out of the team to ensure the company hit the targets which are set each year. 

How’s the team spirit at Marmax? 

Overall sprits are high with 100% effort being put in, Marmax is heading for the best results in my time with the company. 

Where would you like to see yourself in five years’ time? 

Expanding my knowledge even further and grabbing any opportunity that comes my way with both hands.
