International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, we would like to recognise our youngest employee, Leah Stark.

Leah is a production operator at Marmax Products and joined us at 18 years of age.

On the 16 March, this month, Leah would have worked for our company for two years and during that time, she has grown in confidence and become an invaluable member of the production team.

“Leah is one of our best workers, I can rely on Leah to achieve her planned production and achieve the excellent quality standards that we set.  It has been great to see her development over the last two years.”  Chris Lamb, Production Manager.

Leah lives locally to our manufacturing plant in Stanley, County Durham and went to @North Durham Academy, which less than 2 miles from our production facility.

“I have really enjoyed working at Marmax since joining two years ago. It doesn’t seem like two minutes ago that I walked into the factory with a whole lot of nerves.  I love it here and hope that I can stay here for years to come.” Leah Stark, Production Operator

“It is great to see the influx of local talent joining our company, the personal and professional growth we have seen in Leah over the last two years has been fantastic.  Leah is holding her own in a job which traditionally male dominated, we hope in future years that more women will join our organisation and thrive, as Leah has.”  Dave Johnson, General Manager

Marmax manufactures outdoor furniture and play equipment from recycled plastic.  We hope that our growth can inspire more people to join companies like ours that promote sustainably made products, that stop waste plastic going to landfill and gives an alternative to products that require deforestation.
