Training Opportunities with Orangebox Training Solutions
In February 2023, Dave Johnson (Marmax General Manager) met representatives of Orangebox Training Solutions at the Navigating the Educational Landscape event at the Industry Centre in Sunderland.
After the event, the two companies discussed funded training opportunities and also supporting a planned recruitment activity in March 2023.
Orangebox Training Solutions proposed an employability scheme, in which local unemployed people received training to improve their employability skills and as part of this process are guaranteed an interview for open positions. Marmax Products provided the training room and interviewed candidates that had completed the week’s training and showed a good attitude and work ethic.
Chris Efthymiou was one of the candidates who completed the course and was successful in the subsequent interview.
I am pleased to announce that Chris Efthymiou passed his probationary period in July of this year and has cemented his position as an important part of our production team, working in the saw section.
Congratulations to Chris, who we welcome to the Marmax team and hope that this is the start of a long career at our Company.
