Having settled in for the last month, we took some time to speak with our new Sales Team member Corey Galbraith to hear about his experience so far at Marmax Recycled Plastic Products:

1.What is your favourite part about working at Marmax? 

At Marmax I enjoy how tight-knitted the company is, everyone gets along with each other and it’s like a family and feel like I’m fitting in well. Alongside that, it is a company that takes care of you with good benefits and a fair pay for my role as an apprentice.

2. Why did you want to be a sales team member?  

Originally sales was not my intended route for career development but was presented the opportunity by Zenith and once reading into it I found that a role in sales did interest me. I enjoy the fact I still get to talk to people daily and have good customer interactions which is what I enjoyed about my previous role in hospitality.

3.Day to day what are some of the tasks within your role? 

In my role I am researching potential customers and reaching out, highlighting the benefits of recycled plastic to new and existing customers, maintaining a good relationship with customers by following up on any of their requests and keeping in contact.

4.Have you learnt many new skills during your time so far?  

I have learned some new skills so far such as:

• Increased IT skills – Learning how to operate SharePoint, Business Central and other Microsoft applications

• Communication skills – Knowing how to and who to communicate to when asking questions regarding orders and communicating with customers over the phone or email.

• Product Knowledge – Gaining knowledge on the products we sell and understanding each person’s individual role leading to the final product

• Time Management – Learning how to prioritize tasks and ensuring work is being done efficiently

5.Do you have any hobbies outside of work?  

Outside of work I enjoy listening to music and discovering new music, playing video games with friends, working on my car with my dad and sometimes going to the gym.
