Local Partnership Blooms as Marmax Donated Planters in Support of Foundation’s Gardening Group

At Marmax Products, we’re proud to see The Riverside Ground looking refreshed this autumn thanks to our recent donation to the Durham Cricket Foundation’s community gardening group.

As a Stanley-based manufacturer of recycled plastic furniture and outdoor products, we are committed to sustainability and supporting our local community. That’s why we were delighted to donate a series of bespoke 100% recycled plastic planters in the Foundation’s signature blue and yellow colours, created specially to support their Gardening Group, an initiative that brings volunteers together to nurture and enhance the cricket club’s green spaces.

Some of our team, Dave Johnson, General Manager; Matthew Grant, Group Managing Director; and Chris Lamb, Production Manager, visited the Durham Cricket Ground at Riverside to officially present the planters and meet the volunteers who will be putting them to use.

“We’re incredibly proud to see our recycled products making a difference locally,” said Dave Johnson. “At Marmax we are keen to add social value to the local community and this is a great way to do just that. To help the gardening group is a great thing and it also allows us to find other ways to help the Foundation, so this is the start of an ongoing partnership.”

The Gardening Group, run by Durham Cricket Foundation, uses gardening to support wellbeing, reduce isolation, and create a welcoming, vibrant environment for everyone who visits the ground. Seeing our products contribute to that mission has been hugely rewarding.

Angela Sheridan, the Foundation’s Community Inclusion Officer, shared how much the donation meant to the team: “Our Gardening Group members take great pride in creating something beautiful together, and Marmax’s generosity helps us keep that going.”
